There's plenty to see and do for kids and families at the Marblehead Festival of the Arts in Massachusetts!

Marblehead, Massachusetts has a long-standing tradition of hosting an annual summer arts festival during the week of July 4th. This highly esteemed festival showcases a diverse range of artistic expressions that include: painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, printmaking, photography, crafts, plein aire painting, senior art, student art, and youth art. Alongside the art exhibits, there are numerous family-oriented festivities, events, and activities that aim to captivate and entertain both children and adults alike.

Art on the Avenue

Marblehead Festival of the Arts Art on the Avenue July 4th weekend in Marblehead MA

Young in Age or Young at Heart - All ages welcomed to Art on The Avenue located on Atlantic Avenue part of the Marblehead Festival of Arts. ​ Paint your own pottery with Hestia Creations, make jewelry with EOS studio, learn about plants from Marblehead Garden Center or connecting with mini horses. ​ Face painting and other arts booths will be available up and down Atlantic Avenue. Enjoy the arts, shopping, and dining in another one of our favorite parts of town!

Paint & Party Night | Salisbury Beach Carousel

Carousel at Salisbury Beach MA Paint and Party Night for kids ages 6 and up.

Get ready for Paint Night excitement at the historic Salisbury Beach Pavilion, home to the beautifully preserved antique Looff-Mangels carousel. Limited tickets are available for this event, so be sure to grab yours soon! Your ticket includes all supplies and instruction. Each canvas has a pre-drawn stencil, perfect for artists of all ages and skill levels. Our canvas is 11”x14”, and all colors of paint will be available, allowing for endless creative possibilities. For ages 6 and up.

Join Pop-Up Art School for a fun canvas painting event at the library at the Manchester Public Library in Massachusetts.

The Manchester Public Library invites kids, tweens and teens join Pop-Up Art School for a fun canvas painting event at the library. Follow along step-by-step to create a magical star-filled night sky with silhouettes of a hillside and trees. It's amazing what you can create with four colors and some simple brush techniques! This event is appropriate for beginner painters ages 8-18.

Paint Your Own Buoy - Friday

Paint a buoy ornament for the Gloucester Lobster Trap Tree at Art Haven!

All ages are welcome for two days of public buoy painting at Cape Ann Art Haven ! Bring your inner artist and paint a buoy for use as decoration on the Gloucester Lobster Trap Buoy Tree.  Buoys will be on display throughout the Holiday season, and then they'll be auctioned off in January at Art Haven's Annual Buoy Auction Fundraiser!

Come for a couple of hours of some community fun and help a great cause!  Participants will be entered into a raffle for free classes and a chance to win at birthday party at Art Haven (at $175 value).
