War of 1812 Day at Salem Maritime National Historic Site! Salem Maritime will be celebrating the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 with living history programming throughout the day. Meet some of Salem's 19th century citizens, and hear their views on this controversial war. Family activities and Junior Ranger programs will be offered all day.
From 1884 – 1917, Mason A. Walton lived a hermit's life in Ravenswood Park. He closely observed, wrote, and drew about wildlife behaviors and published a book in 1903. As we walk in his footsteps to the site of his cabin, we'll track signs of wildlife just as Walton did. Take a FREE guided tour of "Ansel Adams, At the Water's Edge" at the Peabody Essex Museum . Ansel Adams' appreciation for water was never far from the surface. He was drawn to the subject in all its forms, from rain, fog, mist and clouds to ice and snow. He also photographed water's effects in tide pools, weathered buildings and erosion patterns.

Green Meadows Farm operates a CSA and runs a farm stand open to the public. In the Farmstand, you'll find our own seasonal vegetables plus a variety of natural and organic dry goods, local cheeses, milk, meat and fun gift items for children and adults.
Lynn Museum and Historical Society invites you to day of family activities and events! Enjoy dance performances, art and crafts, cooking demos and story telling in addition to FREE museum admission! Visitors are encouraged to see latest exhibition 'More Than a Number: Stories from Lynn', that tells the story of Lynn community members who escaped Cambodia and the horror of Khmer Rouge regime. Walk past some of the views captured in his landscape paintings and learn about Lane's active participation in the community.
