Amesbury Days is a a 8-day celebration of all things Amesbury that kicks off the summer with fun and exciting community events in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Fireworks, a block party and a 5k walk/run will be just some of the highlights of this years' Amesbury Days celebration. There will be events for the whole family over the course of 12 days with activities and celebrations drawing people from within and around the city.
Amesbury Days hosts a night of fun for kids of all ages! Games, animals, giveaways, juggling, magic & more! There will be additional food and drinks to purchase as well as face painting and balloon twisting for a fee and more!
Studio Two is a headlining Beatles band that pays tribute to the early Beatles years, choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era. Featuring graduates from Berklee College of Music and Beatles devotees, Studio Two band mates met in a “cellar full of noise” in a town slightly west of Liverpool (Milford, New Hampshire!) to pay homage to the greatest rock band of all time.
The Amesbury Pines Open is back! Amesbury Days hosts a Frisbee Golf Tournament at the Town Disc Golf Course. Come see the best disc golfers compete for a chance to win $$ and prizes! This Event is part of Amesbury Days Celebration.
Hosted by High5Em, and sponsored again by The Institution for Savings. Kick off your 4th of July celebrations with this Amesbury Days 5k event, whether you want to run, jog or walk, this event caters for all abilities.
The Amesbury Memorial Day Ceremonies is organized by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2016 and will start at 9:00 AM at Alliance Park where a wreath will be thrown into the Merrimac River in memory of deceased Marines and Sailors. From there veterans will gather and place wreaths at the VFW Cemetery plot in Union Cemetery, then to the Amesbury Doughboy and Justin Park, and then to the Polish War Memorial on Market Street.
Come by the side lawn of the Library to create a solar powered bug! Find out why bugs are attracted to light and how solar energy works to move your bug! Registration is required. If the weather is bad, we will contact you as we will divide the groups up to come at different times. Made possible in part with funds from the Friends of the Amesbury Library. For kids in grades 2-5.
Amesbury Days will be bringing back all of the familiar favorites like face painting, pony rides, balloon twisting, train rides and a dunk tank plus plenty of delicious food and drinks, entertainment and much more!
Amesbury Public Library invites teens to join Cassandra for a fun drop-in activity each week. Come by to create a craft or play board games or just to chat if you don't want to do a project. This is an hour for teens! No registration is required so come by after school on Mondays this winter to relax and have some fun!
Spend your vacation week visiting another world (at Amesbury Public Library)! This program is a self contained quest and so you can come if you've never played D&D or a roleplaying game before or if you are a huge fan (and meet some other fans)! This Session is specifically organized for kids ages 11-14.
