Danvers Memorial Day Parade

The Danvers Memorial Day parade begins at Holten Richmond Middle School at 9 a.m. sharp, and will follow the traditional route of previous years - down Sylvan Street, through downtown and back to Town Hall. Traditional stops and placement of wreaths will occur at the Danvers Square Memorial Flagpole, the Town Hall Memorials and Porter’s Burial Ground on High St. All Danvers veterans are invited to participate in the parade in their civilian capacity, with a handicapped accessible trolley provided for those who are unable to march.

Bruins Pajama Drive

Drop off new pajama donations at libraries across the North Shore as part of the Boston Bruins PJ Drive.

From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. Together, we are looking to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Eat ice cream for breakfast at Putnam Pantry in Danvers Massachusetts to raise funds for a local charity!

Our annual ice cream for breakfast event is also a fundraiser! For $10 you will get 2 scoops of ice cream between a Belgian waffle, and, in Putnam Pantry fashion, you can top your own sundae. We will be offering special toppings on our ice cream smorgasbord and special ice cream flavor offerings. 50% of proceeds will be donated to the Care Dimensions Hospice Houses.

Healthy Kids Running Series Fall 2024 | Danvers

Healthy Kids Running Series at Endicott Park in Danvers Massachusetts.

Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids compete each week for a chance to earn points. At the end of the Series the boys and girls who accumulate the most points in their respective distances are awarded trophies.  All participants receive a medal on Week 5!
