The season ends with Sibelius romantic and passionate Symphony No. 2. The symphony is full of gorgeous, hyper emotional melodies as well as exciting moments of high drama. The Rachamaninoff Piano Concerto is one of the most popular works in the repertoire, and virtuoso pianist Myron Romanul will be the soloist.

Celebrate sustainable living with Backyard Growers Program in Gloucester MA

In this workshop, the Backyard Growers team will introduce you to the Square-Foot Gardening Method, which helps gardeners make the most of often limited growing space, and grow the most food possible for a household. We'll show you how to do this by using gridded square-feet instead of rows. You'll work with us to create your own custom vegetable garden plan for the season.

Saint Peter's Fiesta 5k

The Cape Ann YMCA Saint Peter's Fiesta 5k encourages kids to enter.

The Saint Peter's Fiesta 5k Road Race hosted by the Cape Ann YMCA is a healthy opportunity for families to be directly involved with this traditional community celebration in Gloucester!  Kids are encouraged to enter, and all funds raised by the race go to the Cape Ann YMCA Summer Camps program. The race starts at beautiful Stage Fort Park and ends in the heart of the Fiesta celebration in Saint Peter's Square.

Annual Pizza Taste Off

The annual pizza taste-off in Gloucester raises funds for the American Cancer Society

The Interact Club at Gloucester High School will be holding their annual pizza taste off at Cruiseport Gloucester!  Come try different pizza from around Cape Ann, while helping to raise funds for the American Cancer Society! Taste them all for yourself and vote for the best! Only 300 tickets sold and will be available at the door. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Bruins Pajama Drive

Drop off new pajama donations at libraries across the North Shore as part of the Boston Bruins PJ Drive.

From February 1 through March 15, Cradles to Crayons®, the Boston Bruins, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Wonderfund are coming together with organizations in your community to collect new pajamas for local children living in low-income and homeless situations. Together, we are looking to collect 10,000 pairs of pajamas. By supporting us with a PJ Drive, you will directly supply new pajamas to the children who need them most so they can stay warm for a good night’s sleep. Register through our form below to get more information on hosting a PJ Drive with us.
