This popular fall classic is one of the North Shore’s most anticipated events. Folks on the North Shore and beyond will flock to Ipswich for its famous fried clams, seafood and of course delectable clam chowder. What better way to round out the season than with an opportunity to, not only samples some of the best chowder around, but also become judge for a day?
Come to the Rowley Town Common for an afternoon of family fun! Admission to the event is FREE with a non-perishable donation to the Rowley Food Pantry, which will be collected at event check-in. Planned Activities include: Pumpkin Bowling, Corn Hole, Basket Ball shoot out, Skee Ball, Dunking Booth, Football Toss, Pony Rides and many more fun games and activities for the whole family. Food Trucks will be on site as well as carnival concessions! Hosted by the Pine Grove PTA.
Vered is an award winning musician who brings the joys and intricacies of family life to music. Her show is fun, funny, gets everyone singing along, and sometimes will even have parents shedding an emotional tear. Inspired by her experience as a music therapist and psychotherapist, and her experience as a mom of three, Vered approaches relationships in the family with wonder, curiosity, and humor. Her music is reminiscent of a Doo-Wop band, using playful vocal harmonies, lively horns, pots and pans, and beatboxing to get everyone jumping and singing along. Vered’s albums Good Morning My Love, Hello My Baby, and Songs for Sisters and Brothers all received prestigious awards. Experience life on and around an authentic Viking ship. Vikings are known for their “raiding and trading” but they were also master crafters in wood, metal and fabric arts. Based around our flagship Polaris, visitors will get to see, feel, and hear the sounds of costume, metal working, and wood working. They will get to experience what it was like aboard a small Viking longship and even try their hand at rowing.

The Salem Jazz & Soul Festival is a free event the whole family will enjoy. Safiya Leslie is an artist and producer who transcends the norm. Flavoring her sounds with musical dialects hailing from jazz and her Afro-Caribbean roots. Safiya and her powerful band combine jazz chops, urban attitude, and Caribbean beauty.
As part of the Lowell Summer Music Series, a special series of kids performances takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Activities include make-and-take art at 10 a.m., a performance at 11 a.m., and National Trolley Park rides at noon.
