Did you know the famous painting The Spirit of '76 painting resides at Abbot Hall in Marblehead? Take this tour of Abbot Hall as part of Trails & Sails 2017 and explore Marblehead's history in the early American Revolution. WPA Murals showing highlights of the town's history from the 1600s to modern times are a priceless social and artistic heritage from the 1930s national W.P.A. (Works Progress / Projects Administration) program for artists and workers' relief. A wide array of the town’s collections are always on display when Abbot Hall is open. For four days in August, Thursday, August 8th to Sunday, August 11, Marblehead will celebrate it's Maritime Heritage with the Marblehead Maritime Festival! Fun exhibits and events are planned for the weekend including a classic yacht regatta, Maritime exhibits, vendors, boat builders, artists food, music, live entertainment, harbor tours and lots of great family friendly activities on and around the water!

The National Association of Education for the Young Child is an agency which does a comprehensive study of Early Childhood programs across the nation. In order to be accredited by NAEYC the center must maintain certain criteria and meet the standards of this agency.
The Pan-Mass Challenge Marblehead Kids Ride will be one of 35 PMC Kids Rides held in neighborhoods throughout New England and beyond. Through the PMC Kids Rides program, nearly 6,000 cyclists between the ages of two and 15 will ride between one and 26 miles in mini-bike-a-thons to raise money for cancer research.

Come to the Abbot Public Library May 9 – June 2 to step into Marblehead's own version of the Van Gogh's Starry Night. This inspired theme will be the backdrop for this year’s Marblehead High School's Annual Senior Art Show. The show will exhibit different media, from photographs to busts to paintings, all created by the students of the class of 2016. Many of the pieces have won awards in art competitions and are truly spectacular to look upon. The opening night reception will be on Monday, May 16, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm in the Abbot's art gallery.
