Come to Sudden Pond for a day of fishing for all ages! This event is perfect for anglers of any experience level. Cast a line, learn about the fish in our waters, safety, and equipment. MassWildlife Angler Education Volunteer Instructors will be on hand to assist. Equipment is provided. No license required. The Friends of Harold Parker State Forest will be providing a barbecue for the hungry fisher people.

For the young set that loves nature, the park interpreter will lead a three-part preschool aged program that includes a story, craft & walk that involves outdoor exploration. A different nature topic each week so come every week!
Stop by the interpretation station to discover the stonework structure being featured! The park interpreter will provide both natural & historical details highlighting that area.
DCR hosts a live animal demonstration at Halibut Point State Park to celebrate Earth Day! Live animal ambassadors will visit Halibut Point with educator, Richard Wolniewicz. Learn about these animals’ behaviors, habitats, challenges they face, and how we can help them. Co-sponsored by Friends of Halibut Point State Park. For all ages.
Join the park interpreter for a drop-in fishing program! Learn how to fish, what fish live in our ponds, and how to catch and release responsibly. Bait and a handful of rods will be provided but feel free to bring your own gear and fish with us and share your tips! No license required if fishing in this program.
