Lynch Park has been turned into the Midway! Stroll on down through the field and get some cotton candy and popcorn while you enjoy the sights and sounds of a traditional carnival. Games, Dunk Tank, Prizes, etc. Great activities for kids! Purchase tickets at the park with cash. Kids can generally enjoy all of the games and activities for under $10. There will also be special carnival food available for purchase that day. This event is great for kids up to 12 years old, but all are welcome! This event is well attended by the Recreation Park Camps and other summer camps.
The 6th Annual Paddle for Plummer on July 13th, 2019 will be a day full of energy, stoke, fun and fitness for a fantastic cause! You don’t want to miss it! There will be over 400 participants and spectators enjoying live music, food, waterfront spinning, SUP yoga, and, of course, paddling on our beautiful waterfront property at Plummer Youth Promise in Salem, MA. Locally and internationally known sponsors and vendors will be there doing demos and supporting Plummer Youth Promise. All proceeds to the Plummer Home.

At Joppa Flats, you'll see wild butterflies and captive caterpillars, learn about environmentally friendly products and practices for the home and garden, enjoy a guided nature walk on the grounds, and take home a fun craft or two.
Olde Fashioned Sunday in Downtown Newburyport will be a great day to remember the beginnings of our Yankee Homecoming celebrations. We can enjoy some “new” events so as to make future memories for the current younger generations as the past has given some of us the “good ole’ days” to remember. Olde Fashioned Sunday 2018 begins on the stage with the opportunity to show the audience your favorite pets. Every person and pet is a winner in this event. The formal opening of Yankee Homecoming will include the introduction of all the past chairperson and the singing of the national anthem.

The beloved annual Duckling Day Parade has become Boston’s most adorable Mother’s Day tradition, and that’s no lie. Children (and sometimes parents too) don duckling attire and retrace the route taken by Mama Mallard in by Robert McCloskey.
The Friends of the Public Garden, in association with the City of Boston Parks and Recreation Department, will celebrate Mother’s Day with Boston-area families during its annual Duckling Day on Sunday, May 12th.
