A Cape Ann holiday tradition, the Cape Ann Symphony Pops is a celebration of with favorites by Anderson, Bach, Herbert, Tchaikovsky, Rutter, Handel and more. The orchestra will be joined by the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus directed by Wendy Betts. We will conclude with the ever popular audience sing-along.
Cape Ann Makers Market, 2021 Spring Market is a great way to see what local makers and artisans have to offer! Weather permitting this will be an outdoor event, otherwise will be held indoors. Pleases also note, we'll be doing our best to make this a safe holiday shopping experience for all with masks required, hand sanitizer available, number of people in shop at a time may be limited. Kids are invited to the The Marblehead Museum & Historical Society for a gingerbread workshop! Come create your own entry for the 2025 Marblehead Gingerbread Festival. Two workshops are schedule for kids ages 2-4 (with adult) at 1pm and kids 5-10 are at 3pm. Registration required.
Come to Wenham Museum dressed in your holiday finery and help sugar coat a group gingerbread house with Fancy Nancy's swanky neighbor Mrs. Devine. Be inspired by the museum's Gingerbread Express featuring a holiday train traveling through a candy-covered gingerbread village. Appropriate for children ages 4+.
All ages are welcome for two days of public buoy painting at Cape Ann Art Haven ! Bring your inner artist and paint a buoy for use as decoration on the Gloucester Lobster Trap Buoy Tree. Buoys will be on display throughout the Holiday season, and then they'll be auctioned off in January at Art Haven's Annual Buoy Auction Fundraiser!

Come to East Gloucester Elementary School for our traditional holiday with perennial favorite family activities, as well as some new ones! Looking for a gift? There will be plenty of hand made crafts by local vendors! This is also a great opportunity for a visit with Santa and a photo op with Frosty the Snowman!
Get into the holiday season by creating your own evergreen wreath! Kids will craft their 16" wreaths by hand using local greenery, winter berries, fallen cones, holly leaves, ribbon, and more! Materials and instruction included. Parents are encouraged to attend but wreath making is for kids only please. Make a lantern out of a plastic bottle and tissue paper and then bring it to Santa's arrival at the Hawthorne Hotel and procession down the Essex Street Pedestrian Mall to the Tree Lighting in Lappin Park. Plastic bottles provided or bring your own! SCAM will also be collecting bottles throughout the week, so bring your recycleable plastic bottles down for us!
