Visit Lowell’s Boat Shop during their Annual Holiday Open House is a two day family event during the first weekend in December. See the shop transformed with beautiful trees, an art show, silent auction, Nautical Gift Shop, Lowell’s gear to wear, books, glassware, and more. Make it a day! Live music, and lots of other treats in every part of the shop. Don’t miss this beautiful shindig, and be sure to tell your friends.
Enjoy the tradition of the Amesbury Massachusetts Holiday parade with your family! This year’s theme for the Amesbury Holiday Parade is Musical Notes and Holiday Floats. The parade will begin at 3:30pm from the intersection of Sparhawk and Greenleaf Street, and finish up with the Amesbury Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting. All parade participants will be lined up on Greenleaf Street.

Join the Amesbury Carriage Museum & Industrial History Center for a family-friendly open house about all things automobiles! Amesbury, known as “carriage town,” also had a thriving early automobile industry. Makers including Pontiac, Durant, General Motors, Cadillac, Rolls Royce, and more chose Amesbury carriage makers to build their first automobile bodies. Come learn about this hidden history of Amesbury and see vintage and antique vehicles and artifacts from the early automotive era on display.

Come to Cider hill Farm for our Blueberry and Flower Festival and get your seasonal fill of this wonderful superfood! Calling all blueberry and flower lovers! Enjoy live music, hard cider, family-friendly activities, hayrides, blueberry goods, cut-your-own bouquets and PYO blueberries. Purchase pick-your-own tickets ahead (48 hrs in advance) or upon arrival at the farm. The multi-weekend event will feature free live music, hard cider bars, family-friendly activities, hayrides, food truck, blueberry treats, pop-ups & cut-your-own flowers and PYO blueberries!

This program is outdoors so bring a chair or blanket to sit on! If the weather is bad, this will be postponed!
The Amesbury Memorial Day Ceremonies is organized by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2016 and will start at 9:00 AM at Alliance Park where a wreath will be thrown into the Merrimac River in memory of deceased Marines and Sailors. From there veterans will gather and place wreaths at the VFW Cemetery plot in Union Cemetery, then to the Amesbury Doughboy and Justin Park, and then to the Polish War Memorial on Market Street.
Come by the side lawn of the Library to create a solar powered bug! Find out why bugs are attracted to light and how solar energy works to move your bug! Registration is required. If the weather is bad, we will contact you as we will divide the groups up to come at different times. Made possible in part with funds from the Friends of the Amesbury Library.
