The Stevens-Coolidge Place Cutting Garden

Pick Your Own Bouquet at the Trustees of Reservations Stevens-Coolidge Place

In addition to pick-your-own favorites like zinnias, cosmos and rudbeckia, visitors will find new varieties to add pop and flair to their bouquets. The garden is fun for all ages and there is always something new to learn! Please note there is a fee to cut flowers and picking is only available at the Cutting Garden during PYO hours.

The GAAC invites you to discover the the world of Astromony at the Lanesville Co

The Gloucester Area Astronomy Club invites you to their monthly meeting to discover the wonder of the night sky on Cape Ann!  There will still be a lot of astronomy going on! Stargazing will usually foolow the monthly meeting, which usually includes an astronomy presentation, and sometimes a special guest.  There is plenty of free parking, no dues or fees, and all are welcome. No special knowledge is required to have a great time.

CoastSweep: Phillips Beach

Come help Salem Sound Coastwatch with the Coastsweep cleanup of Phillips Beach in Swampscott, Massachusetts!

As part of COASTSWEEP Beach Cleanup, volunteers are encouraged to come to Phillips Beach to help in the statewide effort to keep our coastline clean along the shore in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Trash collected will be measured and analyzed, and the data will be sent to Washington DC to aid the government in creating legislation to minimize trash in our oceans! This specific cleanup is coordinated by Ted Maney and the Boston Sea Rovers.

The Danvers Kiwanis Annual “Rubber Duck Race” raises money for scholarship funds for local college students

The 26th Annual “Rubber Duck Race” hosted by the Danvers Kiwanis raises money that benefits scholarship funds for local college students. THE RACE is  rain or shine, and hundreds of Rubber Ducks will be dumped into the Porter River adjacent to Popes Landing. The drama escalates, competition has begun. As the lead duck streaks towards the finish line, “Who will be the WINNER?”  Join us for pre-race family-fun festivities starting at 9:00 am.

Join us at the Witch House and Pioneer Village for a look at medicinal curiosities from the 17th century. At the Corwin House (a.k.a. the Witch House) we will share an exhibit featuring some of the more startling remedies our New England settlers trusted such as “snail water” and “skull moss”. The exhibit will be included in admission and free to Trails and Sails attendees each day of the festival.
