Greet Santa as he arrives at Town Wharf on East Street, at the north end end of Water Street, in Ipswich! Come sing carols with Buddy the Elf as we await Santa’s arrival. Jingle Bells will be available for purchase. Jingle your bells and follow our honored guest and Buddy the Elf on a festive “Jingle Bell Walk” along Water Street to the Ipswich Town Hall at 45 Green Street. Keep a sharp eye out for the “Grinch”!

Come see over 100 locally and professionally made gingerbread creations on display at the historic Jeremiah Lee Mansion in Marblehead, MA during this year's Marblehead Christmas Walk. Community members, businesses, and families are building and donating dozens of gingerbread houses, boats and local buildings that will be on display and available for raffle throughout the weekend. Days and times vary so check the times!
A Cape Ann holiday tradition, the Cape Ann Symphony Pops concert features the Cape Ann Symphony Chorus under the direction of Rockport’s Wendy Betts performing with the orchestra under the musical direction of conductor Yoichi Udagawa. The Chorus and Orchestra join together to perform a wide selection of holiday favorites ending the festive concert with the annual audience sing-along.
Everybody is invited to enter the Gingerbread Contest for the Middle Street Walk in Gloucester this year! Groups and individuals are encouraged to get creative and come up with entries that can take any shape. All entries will be judged during the Middle Street walk with winners being announced at 1pm in Gloucester City Hall.
Get into the Christmas spirit at the First Congregational Church of Rowley’s Olde Tyme Country Fair on Saturday, November 18th! This old-fashioned church fair will feature Christmas handcrafts,holiday decorations, plants, baked goods, coffee and doughnuts, cabot cheese and Zeke’s Country Store books, attic treasures (yard sale), raffle table, silent auction, and more. A home style lunch will be served at 11 am to 1 pm where Santa will make his special appearance. Following the fair, there will be a spaghetti supper running from 5-7 pm. Holiday Fairs at Essex Churches - The warmth of an old country church fair enlivens the town on a cold, winter’s day when all three of Essex’s downtown churches hold their annual Holiday Fair. All three churches are within walking distance with free on street parking. Gift bargains are served up along with homemade food and hot beverages. A dollar goes a long way at this event.
Long a traditional favorite, Methuen Ballet Ensemble brings the holiday classic, "The Nutcracker" to Firehouse Center for the Arts in Newburyport, Massachusetts. The company is thrilled to announce that world renowned ballet dancer and choreographer Sabi Varga will be joining this year's production. It is not to be missed! In addition to dancing in the production, Mr. Varga will be tapping into his creative and artistic talents as guest choreographer for select scenes!
Each November, the Wenham Museum hosts this festive fair of hand-crafted artisan goods. This is a fine occasion to bring the whole family to the museum for a day of fun. Exhibits will be open with special programming and activities for the kids and shopping for the adults.
