Bandits on the Run is a Brooklyn, New York-based whimsical, criminal trio, notorious for stealing hearts and serenading strangers. They first gained infamy conducting musical sticks-ups in the subways of New York City with their three part-harmony and nostalgic sensibilities. Wielding cello, guitars, melodious three part harmony, not to mention various and sundry toys, they are sure to charm the socks off of folks young, old, and everywhere in between!

Open to any middle school or high school band (two or more members) from anywhere on Cape Ann or beyond. No fee to enter. Deadline for registration is September 15. Five bands will be chosen to compete on Saturday, October 7th at the Congregational Church of Rockport. Top two winning bands play on Rockport New Year’s Eve!

The Sawyer Free Library invites kids to fun puppet show featuring Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals! Lindsay shares her hand crafted, life size puppets with children and families across NH, MA, and ME. Filled with silliness, crowd participation, and lovable characters, her charming and positive short stories will delight the young and the young at heart! SALEM'S CHIPTUNE, ELECTRONICA & NOISE EXTRAVAGANZA. The 7th event combining the skills of local vj's, dj's & live electronic musicians. The extravaganza’s purpose is: “to showcase talent right here in Salem, the North Shore & Boston. To give a stage for new music that might otherwise be overlooked by the mainstream.”
Come listen to some great music by two bands made up of Salem residents and others from Grade 7 through adult, under the direction of Cynthia Napierkowski, director of the Salem High School Band. Event takes place at the Salem Willows Shell, with the Salem High School Auditorium serving as a rain location.

TitO will be hosting a Theater in the Open Festival the weekend of August 12-13. We have four distinct offerings for the community. We begin on Saturday morning at 11AM with [node 8247], an interactive hour of creative exploration and performance. At 2PM we’ll once again be staging our spring production, Snow White: A Through the Looking Glass Panto, then on Sunday afternoon, audiences can see A Midsummer Night’s Dream at 1PM followed by Antigone at 5PM. All performances are free and open to the public.
