Summer Art and Photography Program for Kids on Cape Ann, Annisquam Arts, Gloucester MA

Ignite your imagination this summer at Annisquam Arts

Do you keep a diary? Do you record your dreams? Do you write notes to your friends and family? Do you sketch and doodle or write stories? This week, students will construct their own ornate books from cover to cover! Students will learn the art of traditional binding while experimenting to add their unique touches. We’ll use our imaginations to incorporate painting, printing, drawing, and collage techniques to make our books pop with personality.

Summer Program and Camp at Montserrat College of Art Offers Youth S.T.E.A.M.

Montserrat College of Art Youth STEAM Arts Academy is fun and challenging for students ages 8-11 (Minors) and our older group ages 12-15 (Majors). Daily classes will allow students to experience exciting creative endeavors while being introduced to a variety of techniques and skills.

Students may attend the Youth Arts Academy for a full day (9-11 am, 11:45 - 1:45 pm, 2-4 pm), or choose a morning class, mid-morning class, and/or afternoon class.

Ignite your imagination this summer at Annisquam Arts

Seven-week-long workshops reveal the diverse traditions of art around the world. This Cape Ann summer studio is the perfect setting for your child to express and explore their creativity.

Developed by artist and educator Dawn Southworth, Annisquam Arts tips off its 30th season by offering a variety of workshops for young artists. Conducted at Dawn’s open and professional home studio on Goose Cove, we have easy access to Gloucester’s cultural center and Cape Ann’s most scenic spots. The entire program runs for seven weeks, June 24 - August 8, 2024, with new courses each week.

Young Artists’ Summer Studio Workshops run Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for ages 6-14. We’ll have a blast engaging with a wide range of materials and artistic techniques in a multi-sensory studio environment. Small class sizes and individual instruction allow for all levels of ability to be nurtured. All classes are led by Dawn.

Artcie Studio summer classes are all about being creative, getting inspired and becoming educated in art!  Our instructors are trained artists and teachers who have been teaching fine art to children and adults for 15 plus years, and our newest instructor has been with us for 2 years. Our goal at Artcie is to provide students with a strong foundation in art, and give them the confidence to express their own individual creativity. 

We offer (2-3 hour) summer classes for children ages 4-teen, from exploratory art foundations to intensive drawing classes, we have something for everyone.  Our bright, friendly and air conditioned studio provides the perfect creative space to come and get Artcie with us this summer!

IMADA is offering students an array of Summer programs focusing on the arts.  Kids in grades 7-12 are invited to use time over the Summer to explore their artistic abilities be it sculpture, painting, film, music or digital and mixed media.  Programs take place at Ipswich High School and other locations beyond the North Shore, so payattention to the specifics for the program you want. Nursery Kindergarten Summer Program at Waldorf School at Moraine Farm for children age approximately 3.5 to 6, aims to provide developmentally appropriate experience for the young child.

Seasonally oriented, these sessions will provide the children with a practical immersion into the work and wisdom offered by the land.

Lead by a Waldorf-trained adult staff, the Nursery Kindergarten Summer Program will allow the child to experience the dream-like and imaginative quality of their inner social/emotional development in an artistic and joy filled way.

Each session will be a complete offering in itself, but the four will be a cohesive experience as well.
