Take a guided walk along our Halloween trail, lit by glowing luminaries and home to some interesting nocturnal animals that come out just for Halloween. Learn about local animals of the night and signs of the season on this, fun family-friendly walk. Kids activities and crafts in the barn and costumes encouraged, of course! Allow about one hour for this walk.

Using magnifying glasses, microscopes, and identification cards, we’ll discover as many marine invasive critters as we can. After investigating the dock, we encourage families to explore the Maritime Gloucester Campus, including the Seapocket Aquarium, the Marine Science & Education Center, and Gorton’s Seafood Gallery of Maritime Heritage in Gloucester, all free of charge.
Lawrence is a city of art, culture and history, and what better way to continue the excitement of Labor Day Weekend in Lawrence, than with the Bread & Roses Heritage Festival? At the festival, attendees can enjoy art, history, food, and especially, music where we have three stages off all-day entertainment. This annual festival is celebrated on Labor Day in order to honor the most significant event in Lawrence history: the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike. We memorialize the event with a variety of music and dance, poetry and drama, ethnic food, historical demonstrations, and walking and trolley tours, all on or starting from Lawrence's Common. The festival is a one-day 'open air' celebration.
