Eco-art programs programs combine nature exploration and a craft project. Construct simple sailboats out of bark and leaves, then hike to the river and launch them from the canoe landing. What might a tiny sailor onboard see in the water? Using strainers and tubs, we will dip into the water to see what organisms we can find.
Come enjoy a movie projected on a giant screen at Lynch Park in Beverly! Bring a lawn chair, blanket and your family for a night of Hollywood blockbuster fun! Food and refreshments will be available starting, and movies will begin at dark!
Lynch Park has been turned into the Midway! Stroll on down through the field and get some cotton candy and popcorn while you enjoy the sights and sounds of a traditional carnival. Games, Dunk Tank, Prizes, etc. Great activities for kids! Purchase tickets at the park with cash. Kids can generally enjoy all of the games and activities for under $10. There will also be special carnival food available for purchase that day. This event is great for kids up to 12 years old, but all are welcome! This event is well attended by the Recreation Park Camps and other summer camps.
See interesting exhibits for kids, a family concert, a Moon Bounce center, and many engaging activities and games for North Shore kids and families. Introducing Elijah T. Grasshopper & Friends, children’s enrichment performers. Interactive story songs are Elijah’s specialty with a gentle humorous appeal. From the wake up song, “Tick Tock, Alarm Clock” to a hide n’ seek adventure with “Willa the Worm”, children love to participate. A master at making kids hop, wiggle and giggle, Elijah is joined by Emma the “Go Go Green” Bean, The Orange Farmer and their puppet pals, Willa the Worm and Weatherbee Frog. Elijah and his friends teach kids funky dance moves like the Bumpity Bump and the Pumpkin Dance, all the while promoting a message of social harmony.
Come enjoy community and music each Sunday in Patton Park! Dust off your lawn chairs and bring your picnic down to the park on Sunday evenings. We have a fantastic line up of bands this summer ---presented by Institution for Savings Bank and sponsored by The Community House, Town of Hamilton, HW Cultural Council, and the Town of Wenham. Appleton Farm's first Summer Camp out was such a success we had to bring it back again! Families will be able to set up a tent in the Stone Paddock. Experience the fun of camping, while still having access to bathrooms and some great views of the farm.
