Parker River National Wildlife Refuge is calling on all youth, ages K to 12, to help spread the word about the importance of beaches to shorebirds by entering the Refuge’s 3rd Annual Beach Sign Youth Art Contest. While most locals know about the annual beach closure at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge for nesting piping plovers, many visitors do not pay attention to the “Area Closed” signs posted at the boundaries.
Poetry without Paper 2019 is a contest for children and teens who live in Gloucester or attend Gloucester schools! Submit an original poem on any theme. Submission dates are March 1-April 30. Winners will be chosen from each age group: high school, middle school, and elementary school.

LEGOland Discovery Center Boston is opening this May in Somerville and they're looking for kids to be on their Junior Construction Panel! If your child is a LEGO afficianado and aged 5 - 12 (as of May 23, 2014), they are eligible to enter a contest to be one of twelve children join the the panel. The Junior Construction Panel will assist our Master Model Builder for Boston, Ian Coffey, with important tasks at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Boston, such as testing the rides and helping at the Grand Opening Celebration.
All are invited to enter the 7th Annual Gingerbread Building Contest at the Wenham Museum! Individuals or groups of any experience level and any age are welcome to submit their creation as part of this years contest for display at this year's Gingerbread Express.
Members of the community are invited to create gingerbread buildings with a food related theme: a candy cane factory, a pizza parlor or even a green grocer!

Anna Jaques Hospital and Women’s Health Care is having a baby photo contest to give local parents the chance to have their baby featured in an upcoming Women’s Health Care advertisement and win a $150 Visa gift card. To enter, a parent can submit a photo of their child (or twins/triplets) through the Anna Jaques Hospital Facebook page. All photos submitted will be displayed in an online Baby Photo Gallery on the hospital’s Facebook page.

Only 63 entires will be accepted and shown on a first come first serve basis, so act now and enter early to ensure yourself a spot.
