Cool weather Fall running is back! This year the Winner's Circle Running Club has moved our annual 5K to Salisbury! It will be run Thanksgiving morning November 23rd. Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and the race starts promptly at 8:30. We feature runner and family friendly trails and post race refreshments. Our new course which is primarily on a rail trail offers a fast and flat but scenic course! Pre-register to lock in the lowest rates! Race day registration will be available at $35.

The Annual Essex Fire Department Company Spaghetti Supper is A great night to enjoy a home-cooked meal with neighbors and friends while supporting a great cause! The town’s volunteer firefighters put out quite a spread of all-you-can-eat homemade spaghetti and meatballs accompanied by salad, beverage and dessert. Everyone welcome! Donations accepted at the door. Winter boots and coats will be collected to help those in need. Your generosity will be greatly appreciated.

Join the Newburyport Education Foundation for their Lighthouse Auction to raise funds that will go to enhance the quality of public education in the Newburyport School District. This auction is the biggest fundraiser of the year for NEF, raising over $100,000! Come see over 100 locally and professionally made gingerbread creations on display at the historic Jeremiah Lee Mansion in Marblehead, MA during this year's Marblehead Christmas Walk. Community members, businesses, and families are building and donating dozens of gingerbread houses, boats and local buildings that will be on display and available for raffle throughout the weekend. The Marblehead Rotary hosts the Marblehead 5K for Mental Health! Marblehead Rotary club is providing Marblehead schools with a daily mindfulness program called Inner Explorer, a nonprofit, that has developed a series of audio guided practices used in over 7000 schools. The program is simple and delivers measurable results. Inner Explorer’s mission is to make the daily practice of mindfulness, approachable and accessible for school communities and to equip educators, students and their families with valuable life skills that foster human potential.
