Step Inside the Historic Custom House

Take in the views of this prominent building where Nathaniel Hawthorne once worked and the U.S. Custom Service operated. This Custom House was built in 1819 and housed offices for the officers of the U.S. Customs Service, as well as an attached warehouse, the Public Stores, used for the storage of bonded and impounded cargo.

Ride the Northern Strand Path as a group starting in Lynn Massachusetts! Part of Trails & Sails

This low-stress ride will be led by Dave Read of the Border to Boston Trail Coalition. We’ll start in the Market Basket parking lot next to the trail in Lynn, go over the Saugus River and past the Rumney Marsh in Revere. Meet next to the trail at the Market Basket in Lynn. There will be two options: one to Malden line (12 miles round trip) and a bit longer to the Everett line (16 miles round trip). This is a paved trail. Part of Trails & Sails.

Celebrate the end of summer with a full day of artmaking! Try out a new technique, find inspiration around the CAM Green campus, and celebrate the process of creating a work of art. Crafting stations will be set up outside and in the Carlson Education Center for visitors of all ages to explore. Make a zine, room décor, card, or gift, or just try your hand at practicing with a new artistic medium. A variety of materials will be available throughout the day while supplies last.

Hike the trails of Dogtown in Gloucester Massachusetts with Cape Ann Museum

On Cape Ann, the name “Dogtown” conjures up many things — vast woodlands and trails; stone walls and cellar holes; tales of witches and widows; an ill-fated bullfighter; pastures, picnics and blueberries; a sea of rocks. Dogtown is all of these things and more. But first, it is a place where proud people once lived and worked, at the center of Gloucester, for nearly 150 years – until it became “Dogtown” and died out.

Low-Sensory Play at NorthShore Children's Museum in Peabody Massachusetts

Join us for a low-sensory play session. For some children, visiting places like NSCM can be over-stimulating. This special play session will have reduced noise, crowds, and stimulation.

While medical diagnosis is not required, we encourage that these limited tickets be used for families with a child on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing disorders.

In Miss Shelleys yoga class for kids, the focus is on making the practice fun, interactive, and age-appropriate. The class includes warm-up activities, teaching yoga poses through storytelling and games, and incorporating music, props, and visuals. There are partner poses and group activities to encourage cooperation and teamwork. The class ends with a cool-down segment that includes gentle stretches and relaxation exercises. The overall goal is to promote physical fitness, mindfulness, and emotional well-being in a playful and joyful environment.
