Explore the FRIENDSHIP OF SALEM, a replica tall ship based on a 1796 Salem vessel at Salem Maritime National Historic Site. Learn about the voyages of the original FRIENDSHIP and the lives of the crewmembers onboard. Every year the International Festival attracts thousands of people with live music, artists, and food inspired from around the world lining the streets from Main down to the Square. Kids activities will happening at East End Veterans Memorial Park on Walnut Street with music, activities, games, and more.

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets for a perfect wood-fired pizza experience surrounded by the idyllic beauty of Appleton Farms. The menu will change weekly, featuring local and seasonal ingredients, including produce from our own farm. Pizza varieties will include cheese, meat and seasonal veggie, with other options available such as artisan pastries, seasonal salads and lighter fare.

Lawrence is a city of art, culture and history, and what better way to continue the excitement of Labor Day Weekend in Lawrence, than with the Bread & Roses Heritage Festival? At the festival, attendees can enjoy art, history, food, and especially, music where we have three stages off all-day entertainment.  This annual festival is celebrated on Labor Day in order to honor the most significant event in Lawrence history: the 1912 Bread and Roses Strike. We memorialize the event with a variety of music and dance, poetry and drama, ethnic food, historical demonstrations, and walking and trolley tours, all on or starting from Lawrence's Common. The festival is a one-day 'open air' celebration.
