The Orchestra on the Hill will perform at Crane Estate to celebrate Spring!

The The Trustees of Reservations are hosting The Orchestra on the Hill for a Spring concert at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate! Celebrate Spring with a  delightful evening of concerto favorites performed at the beautiful Crane Castle with music by Mozart, Bach and Vivaldi.  Tickets are available at the door.

Coast of Hope Walk at The Crane Estate

The Coast of Hope Walk raises funds for your favorite charity at the Crane Estat

The The Trustees of Reservations are hosting the Coast of Hope Walk at Castle Hill on the Crane Estate! Hike, walk or run the varied terrain of the Crane Estate, Cedar Point and Steep Hill Beach while raising funds for your favorite charity! There is also a 2k paved route option. Registration fees go to support Bright Happy Power - a non-profit based in Ipswich that brings empowerment and happiness to children facing cancer!

Manga Workshop at Ipswich Library

kids 12 and up can learn about drawing, story telling and creating comics.

Ipswich Public Library is hosting a Manga Workshop with Andy & Veronica Fish. Manga is a form of Japanese story telling created in the late 18th century, that has transformed into a style of comic art. Learn about Comics, draw characters, learn about story-telling or how to make your own! Event is free and open to teens ages 12 and up. Reservation required. Explore the rhythms of Appleton Farms with your pre-schooler. Meet the cows, harvest the fields, wander the woods, and dig in to farm chores. During this FREE day of events and activities you can take a self-guided tour of the Great House, enjoy lawn games along the rolling Grand Allée, go on a family-friendly treasure hunt, join a may-pole dance, find out what SummerQuest camp is all about, and get the low down on becoming a Trustees volunteer! People are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch!

Mini moos is for children 2-5 to meet our dairy herd at Appleton Farms.

Got milk? We do! On this special program designed especially for our toddler friends, we'll enjoy calf close encounters, a cow story and costume, milking in the dairy barn and more! Appleton's April Vacation Farmhands Crew

Join the farmhand crew to work along side the staff at Appleton Farms.

Calling volunteers ages 13 and up! Join the farmhand crew to work along side our staff and gain first hand experience with our milking herd, our calving season and our seeding and planting season for the Communtiy Supported Agriculture program.  This crew will dig in and have plenty of fun on the farm, while helping our busy farmers prepare for summer!

At Meet the Cows at Appleton Farms, kids will learn about dairy farming and cows

Got Milk? Appleton Farms does! Come tour the dairy operation and meet the cows that make up the grass-fed dairy herd. Visit with calves, explore the pastures and meet the milkers in the dairy barn (ordinarily closed to the public). Lastly get a behind the scenes peek into cheese-making at our Dairy Processing plant.

This is the third year of the Crane Beach Parking Permit Sticker program, which is designed to offer visitors significant savings on beach parking during the 2013 season! Trustees members can purchase a parking sticker for just $55, now through March 15, 2013.
