Schooner Adventure in Gloucester Massachusetts announces free sailing for kids in 2022!* Sail into history on Gloucester's flagship vessel, a National Historic Landmark and icon of the American fisheries. Enjoy a two-and-a-half-hour sail on historic Gloucester Harbor, America's oldest fishing port.  Help the crew raise the sails, take a turn at the helm, learn about Adventure's  legacy and restoration, or sit back and enjoy the iconic sites of Gloucester Harbor.

The St. Peter's Fiesta, Gloucester's annual salute to its fishermen, religious celebration, and five-day carnival and family fun fest is a  fun, safe tradition for families to enjoy. The festival is sponsored by the Italian-American fishing community of Gloucester, and has all kinds of family-oriented activities and events that celebrate the Italian and fishing traditions of the oldest sea port in the United States!

Visit Lowell’s Boat Shop  for a guided tour during Trails & Sails 2021! Founded in 1793, Lowell’s Boat Shop is the oldest continuously operating wooden boat shop in the United States. Now a National Historic Landmark, Lowell’s continues to build wooden boats in the traditional method, with a mission of passing that knowledge on to the next generation through the Apprentice Program. Located on the banks of the Merrimack River in Amesbury, Lowell’s Boat Shop welcomes guests to take a step back in time and learn about the unique history and craft of wooden boat building.

Newburyport Yankee Homecoming Merrimack Valley Ship Model Show

The Merrimack Valley Ship Model club will exhibit a wide range and variety of ship models displaying tiny miniatures, and modest rowing craft in contrast with ocean going vessels. MVSMC members will be at the exhibit demonstrating modeling techniques and sharing back ground stories about the models on display.

Model Ship Show

Come to Peabody MA for a FREE model ship show.

Hundreds of models ships of all types will be on display in downtown Peabody! There will be all types, made from wood, plastic paper and miscellaneous media and created by hobbyists and professionals from the Greater Boston area.  Many of these models are incredibly detailed works of art worthy of museum display.  Come see these wonderful pieces and meet the people who make them!  You'll learn about their skills and hear some great stories, and its a great time for all visitors. Please use the side entrance to the building.
