The Pride Picnic is an event created by the Hamilton-Wenham Human Rights Coalition (HWHRC) to celebrate Pride month and uplift the LGBTQ+ community. The first HWHRC Pride Picnic was in June 2021 and received over 400 attendees, with more expected to attend in 2022.
Uncle Devin is an award-winning children’s artist who specializes in Family Funk. He is the owner of The Uncle Devin Show, an interactive musical experience for children that uses percussion instruments to cultivate their minds – a dynamic cross between DC’s Trouble Funk and Schoolhouse Rock.
Kids are invited to a fun, interactive music session with musician and story teller Steve Blunt at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers! This family program is for patrons of all ages… featuring mostly humorous original compositions and traditional American & multicultural selections.
The historic White-Ellery House will serve as the backdrop for the Cape Ann Museum’s fall festival. Historic demonstrations include decoy carving with Bob Brophy; needlepoint design with Carol Karlson; traditional rug making with Rose Ann Hunter; hand woven design with Sara Wright; and wool spinning with Leslie Wind. Children will have a chance to try their hand at making spoon dolls and other traditional toys and games.
Note: Due to the weather, the festival of light location has been changed to take place at the Library! The Newbury Town Library invites you to come celebrate music and light on the Upper Green! Karen K & The Jiiterbugs and the Plum Island Pans will play, and we'll end the evening with a lantern parade around the green. Pack a picnic, and grab some friends and family.
Amesbury Sports Park will be hosting the 1st annual Helicopter Egg Drop-Palooza fundraising event for Lucy's Love Bus! 30,000 eggs full of treats and prizes, helicopter rides, pony rides, Bunny Hop Dance-Off, face painting, egg dyeing and a performance by AHMIR will all be part of the celebration! There's a lot going during the Harvest Festival on Middle Street in Gloucester! Come to the Middle Street Harvest Festival for live music, museum tours, the Thanksgiving Cape Ann Farmers Market, a craft fair and chowder luncheon, story time and crafts for the kids, tours of the Gloucester Fire Station and more! A benefit concert will take place to raise funds for the Grace Center at Trinity Congregational Church of Gloucester. The Middle Street Harvest Festival is sponsored by Bank Gloucester and other local businesses.
