The Newburyport Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Concert Series invites you to enjoy the 215th Army Band perform its complete ensemble at Waterfront Park, Newburyport! The 215th Army Band of the Massachusetts Army National Guard remains one of the nation’s finest military bands. For more than 60 years, the band has performed throughout New England and the world, bringing the Army’s fine musical traditions and goodwill to thousands of listeners.
Join us the last Sunday of each month this pizza season for live music at Appleton Farms. Local musicians will play from 2-4:30pm during our wood-fired pizza picnic events. "Think Outside the Drum" is a fun, interactive, educational presentation for all ages that introduces 3 of the building blocks of music—rhythm, melody, and timbre. In just under an hour, the Grammy Award-winning musicians in Third Coast Percussion perform music from their repertoire while teaching kids to clap a rhythm from a piece by composer Steve Reich, sing a melody along with a marimba duo by composer Ivan Treviño, and understand the concept of timbre via a fun, interactive game. Free, reservations are encouraged.
The Yankee Homecoming Waterfront Concert Series invites you to enjoy a varierty of music with Way to the River at Cashman Park. The Salem Boyz is a nostalgia-rich, 12-piece classic rock and dance band with horn section, made up of reunited high school friends from Salem, New Hampshire. Our passion is bringing communities together and celebrating our favorite era of music, the 1970’s into early 80’s. We perform during the summer at Hampton Beach, at reunions and home town events.
