Beverly’s annual Holiday Parade will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018. Marching bands, log rollers, majorettes, fire engines and dozens of community floats will join the guest of honor, Santa Claus, to make this a spectacular parade! It’s also a tradition for the parade committee to designate local organizations to benefit from items collected at the parade as well as portions of the funds raised at the event. Every Year the Beverly Holiday likes to Pay It Forward by raising awareness or donations for a local wonderful charitable cause.
A Newburyport tradition! As the holiday season approaches, Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive in the most fitting way for this seaport town... by US Coast Guard boat! Welcome Santa on the Sunday after Thanksgiving as he and Mrs. Claus dock at the boardwalk and begin to parade through downtown Newburyport, then gather in Market Square for the annual Christmas tree lighting and carols starting around 4pm.
The holiday spirit is in the air in downtown Salem with holiday wreaths, a holiday tree, window decorating contest, fantastic shopping, dining and Santa’s arrival. The kids go wild with excitement as Santa Claus arrives in Salem as he traditionally does on the roof of the Hawthorne Hotel. The Salem Fire Company is expected to assist him with their ladder truck.
The magic of Santa has been experienced by generations of children and their families at our annual pancake breakfast. Santa’s helpers capture the special moment of your child with Santa in a photograph. Boy Scouts provide a cookie decorating activity for the children. Each child receives a small gift.
Santa arrives on the Essex River by boat and walks up to the shipyard with a cast of toyland characters. Children can sit on Santa's lap and review their holiday "wish list", while adults enjoy wonderful hot clam chowder from Woodman's. Carols by 'Sound Waves' provide great entertainment for the evening! Hot chocolate and Munchkins provided by Dunkin Donuts!
Where else can you see Santa arrive by lobster boat? Santa will arrive at Rockport’s T-Wharf on Rockport Harbor following a brisk lobster boat ride across Sandy Bay. Then Santa will climb up onto a Rockport Forest Fire truck and proceed along T-Wharf and Mt. Pleasant Street to the Old Firehouse led by Rockport cub scouts.
The Christmas Walk Parade takes place after Santa Arrives in Marblehead. The parade begins at 11:45am at the State Street Landing and will run along Washington Street, Atlantic Avenue and Pleasant Street.
Come to the State Street Landing in Downtown Marblehead to welcome Santa as he arrives by lobster boat! There's plenty of photo ops and Santa's arrival is followed by the Christmas Walk Parade.
Come to the the annual Jingle Bell Walk in Manchester! Santa will arrive at Masconomo Park by boat at 1pm. The jolly man will lead children on a Jingle Bell Walk to the Manchester Community Center, where there will be a miniature petting zoo, a craft activity, face painting, entertainment with Mrs. Claus and delicious refreshments. Everyone will get a chance to meet Santa and take pictures, so come join in the Holiday fun in Manchester! Sponsored by the Manchester Community Center and Manchester Mother’s Club.
The McVann-O'Keefe Skating Rink in Peabody is getting into the holiday spirit with an afternoon of skating with Santa! The staff at proud to host an Holiday-themed event full of fun for kids of all ages. Enjoy fun with activities like face-painting, Ballloons by Brian all while skating to festive Holiday music.
