The Seacoast’s most magical holiday tradition is back! The 13th Annual SeaFestival of Trees opens Saturday, November 22 at the Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury, transforming the oceanfront venue into a sparkling winter wonderland of more than 145 themed trees, a giant sand sculpture, Santa’s Workshop, and an indoor skating rink. The festival runs weekends through December 7, with additional special event nights throughout the season.

This high tide is royalty! Here’s your chance to see the king….tide that is. Join us for a hike to learn about extreme high tides, known as king tides, which are happening more often due to environmental change. These extreme tides have a variety of impacts on coastal infrastructure, including restricted access on low lying roads, flooded buildings, and impacts of erosion, debris, and salt-water intrusion/damage. The king tide also provides us with a window to the future, illustrating what an average high tide might look like in a few decades due to sea level rise. On this hike you will learn what causes king tides, see the tidal impacts first-hand, and learn what The Trustees are doing to increase the coastal resilience of our treasured coastal environments.

Bring the energy of the season into your home or onto your door with our Fall Wreath Workshop, partnered with bioregional herbalist and foraging instructor, Iris Weaver. In this hands-on workshop, create a 8” to 12” unique wreath using foraged dried plant stalks, pine cones, nuts, acorns, and more! Bring a glue gun (preferably one with a trigger), plenty of glue sticks, and a box to carry home your creation All other materials will be provided.

This is a special Haloween themed Befriend the Barnyard. Our barn will be decorated for halloween and our educators will be in costume. We encouge you to come in your costumes and join the fun. Children will leave with a Haloween treat.

North Shore Montessori School invites local families to come and visit us in person! See the school and wonderful playground, speak with teachers and students, and say hello to our animal friends (chickens, turtles and fish, currently). Come to the Lynn Museum for a special family-friendly fall fundraiser to support the mission of the Lynn Museum & Arts Center! Get into the fall spirit with this outdoor event featuring free carnival-style games, facepainting, touch a truck, hands-on activities, youth-friendly museum tours, and raffle prizes for all ages. Food will be available for purchase, and there will be a beer garden for those 21+.
