Gloucester Schooner Festival 2013

The Mayor's Cup Race at the Gloucester Schooner Festival is just part of the fun

The Gloucester Schooner Festival is a  wonderful celebration of Gloucester's fishing and maritime history during labor day weekend. This year's festival, hosted by Maritime Gloucester,  is Gloucester’s major marine event, with participating vessels coming from ports along the Eastern seaboard and beyond. There will be both large and small vessels—ranging from 19 feet to over 100 feet in length. You will see new boats and old boats, from newly built (Ardelle - launched 2011) to over 100 years old!

Fourth of July in Marblehead is an all-day event on the harbor front that begins at 10am with the Horribles Parade, composed of unusual and sometimes opinioned home-made floats, music, and other parading favorites. For the rest of the day, the waterfront is lively with music, food, and family activities.

The day ends with the Harbor Illumination and Fireworks.

The location is on the beach at the Broadway Mall behind the stage!

Marblehead Festival of Arts

There's plenty to see and do for kids at the Marblehead Art Festival!

For nearly 50 years, the Marblehead Festival of Arts has had a rich history in producing an annual summer arts Festival over the July 4th holiday week. This premier Festival hosts art exhibits in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography, Crafts, Plein aire Painting, Senior Art, Student Art and Youth Art. There's also a lot of great events and activities geared toward keeping kids and families engaged and entertained!

Schooner Festival Fireworks

Yankee Homecoming will once again hold its traditional grand finale fireworks.

Following the Gloucester Schooner Festival's Parade of lights in Gloucester Harbor, A fireworks display will light up the sky over Gloucester Harbor to celebrate a great day of maritime history and tradition.  Good vantage points for viewing fireworks include Gloucester's Boulevard, Stage Fort Park, Pavilion Beach and the Park at Fort Point.

Salem Celebrates the Fourth of July 2012 Independence Day

Join the City of Salem at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site for a 4th of July Celebration! The evening includes a US Air Force fly over and live music by the 42-piece Hillyer Festival Orchestra and Fireworks starting after dark from Derby Wharf.
