Soup-er Saturday at Emma Andrews Library

Help kids programming at Emma Andrews Library and enjoy some great soup on Soupe

Emma Andrews Library and Community Center invites you to the library for a bowl of hot soup on a cold winter afternoon! Come enjoy the library and some great food and feel great that the price of your meal will go to fund children's summer programming! Choose from 2 soups (served with crusty bread) and a selection of home-made desserts. Suggested Donation $5.

Bowl Painting at The Open Door

 Proceeds from the Open Door Empty Bowl dinner benefit community programs.

The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual The Open Door Empty Bowl Dinner 2014 in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder! This free session is an opportunity to express yourself artistically while helping The Open Door raise funds to aid North Shore families and individuals in need. Please RSVP if you can.

Paint a Bowl Session at Essex Library

Come to the Essex Library to paint a bowl for the Open Door Food Pantry!

PAINT A BOWL! For the Mehaffey Farm annual The Open Door Empty Bowl Dinner 2014. Join us at the library to paint bowls to be donated to the dinner and auctioned off to raise money for families in need around Cape Ann and the North Shore! This is a super fun event and supports a great cause!

Spring Book Sale at RPL - Sunday

The Rockport Library Book Sale is a fundraiser for RPL programs!

The Friends of the Rockport Library invite you to their spring book sale! Enjoy a bake sale and shop for hard back and paperback books, children’s books, books on tape, videos, and DVDs. All proceeds are used to help support programs at the library like the Cabin Fever Movies, the Authors Series, Museum passes, and Children’s programs.

Help Raise funds for Newburyport's Boat Camp Nature School at their auction bash

BOAT CAMP Nature School of Newburyport is will have it's annual fundraiser silent auction bash at the Black Cow Newburyport to celebrate a turn in the season as animals start their migrations back to the North Shore and awaken from their Winter slumbers! Proceeds from the auction will go to fund programs at BOAT CAMP Nature School.

CACC will show 'Chasing Ice' to benefit Maritime Gloucester.

The award winning documentary Chasing Ice will be showing on at Cape Ann Community Cinema, as a benefit to support the marine science and environmental programs at Maritime Gloucester.  Come see this award winning film, learn about the realities of climate change and help benefit a great local educational resource on Cape Ann!

New England Sled Dog Races - CANCELED

The N.E. Dog Sled Races are a great way for the family to get outside in January

THE 2013 SLED DOG RACES ARE CANCELED DUE TO LACK OF SNOW!

Join the New England Sled Dog Club for their 2013 Dog Sled Races at Appleton Farms!  This outdoor event will be host to many dog sled teams that will race from Appleton Farms south into Hamilton and back.  This is a great outdoor activity for the family to enjoy some fresh air as they witness a unique sport in a wonderful natural setting. There are many areas for spectating and these races so come early and to find the perfect spot for watching!

Old Newbury Day Open House & Bonfire

Come to Spencer-Pierce-Little Farm for an open house and winter bonfire!

Come to  Spencer Peirce Little Farm for a mid-winter open house to celebrate the official purchase of the town of Newbury on January 13, 1701. As part of this community-wide event, tour the Spencer-Pierce-Little House, enjoy hot cider and donuts for sale in the visitor center, and then walk to the nearby town-sponsored bonfire in the growing fields of Tendercrop Farm!

Tree Jubilee at Marini Farm - Fridays

The Tree Jubilee hosted by Marini Farm is a fun and unique charity event!

Come to Marini Farm for the Tree Jubilee fundraiser to benefit The Ipswich Humane Group.  Over 30 of Ipswich's community members and businesses have come together and have each designed and decorated a tree or a wreath that will be displayed at the farm's green house.  It is up to the imagination of the designer to come up with a theme for their design. Submitted trees and wreaths will be awarded as prizes in a raffle at the end of the jubilee.

Middle Street Walk Gingerbread Contest entries can take any shape.

Everybody is invited to enter the Gingerbread Contest for the Middle Street Walk in Gloucester this year! Groups and individuals are encouraged to get creative and come up with entries that can take any shape.  All entries will be judged during the Middle Street walk with winners being announced at 1pm in Gloucester City Hall
