Imagine, Sing & Learn: Seals on the Shore

Seals live all over the coast of the North Shore. Kids will learn more at Joppa flats Education Center in Newburyport!

These 90-minute sessions are for both you and your active preschooler! Each week, our structured activities will include original songs, movement, dramatic play, hand-on science, and a thematic snack. We'll give you coloring pages to take home and lots of fun materials via an electronic goody bag after each class. This session is all about seals which are found along the coast of the north shore.

Lobster Trap Tree Lighting Party in at Cape Ann Art Haven in Gloucester Massachusetts

The annual Middle Street Walk 2024 wraps up every year with the lighting of the lobster trap Christmas tree in Gloucester Massachusetts! Stop by Cape Ann Art Haven for a Holiday Party with hot chocolate, sweet treats, kids' crafts, holiday photos, face painting live music. Caroling starts at 4:30pm, followed by the tree lighting across the street at 5pm. Come find your buoy hanging on the tree, enjoy caroling, seeing the star put on the tree join us for the countdown and celebrate the season with the lighting of our Lobster Trap Tree!

Join us for this very special production of Methuen Ballet Ensemble's The Nutcracker.  Methuen Ballet Ensemble, an established local ballet company under the artistic direction of Vanessa Rae Voter, has staged The Nutcracker for over twenty-five years.

Keep learning with take-home coloring pages and fun follow-up activities.  Today's program focuses on the nests of birds and squirrels.

Children ages 6-18 are invited to enter the Newburyport Yankee Homecoming Kid's Talent Showcase.

Showcasing the talents of kids of all ages. This is a non-competitive showcase of children’s talent in Newburyport and the surrounding area. Children in grades 1 - 12, ages 6 - 18 who are residents or students in the Newburyport Schools and the immediate surrounding areas will be allowed to participate.
