The Motif No.1 Day Festival celebrates Rockport across the arts! M1D honors the fishing shack, artist’s studio, and tourist attraction that started it all: an old building right on one of Rockport’s historic wharves, a building painted so often by artists at the turn of the last century that it was given the nickname Motif No.1.
Who says children aren't in charge? Each year on the first Sunday of May, Downtown Portsmouth becomes headquarters for children of all ages with the celebration of Children's Day. An estimated 10,000+ "children" visit Portsmouth to take part in an afternoon of fun on the Seacoast.

A highlight of the day's event will include the "Haverhill Idol" competition. Finalists in the Junior and Senior divisions will compete to be the next "Haverhill Idol."
